and why we love turquoise....

The boudoir is not surprisingly one interior space the French are particularly good at influencing. It's evident that French country is a popular bedroom style among homeowners and designers at the moment. Rustic charm mixed with opulent upholstery, the vision to resemble a cottage in the French countryside, with cozy, comfortable furniture and sophisticated fabrics and accessories.

French country furniture often will look distressed, as though the wood has been chipped or scratched. Designers or crafty home decorators can use distressed headboards, side tables and dressers to complete the French country look in a bedroom. Alternatively an upholstered button-pressed bed head for a more luxurious look. You can also accessorize the room with candleholders and embellished vintage style mirrors (Vast favourites)  Some designers also will use patterned wallpaper that depicts a French cottage or flowers complete the look.
